I Feel Good!

A quick update on my weight loss, since it has been several weeks since I posted.
I have lost 60 pounds now. :D

Besides feeling better about how I look, I've found several other benefits to my
weight loss/healthier eating/exercising.
These are just a few of them-

I sleep better. Even when I don't get a lot sleep I don't wake up as often as I used to so I  feel more refreshed.

I have more energy and I usually don't hit the wall in the afternoon like I used to.

I feel happier and more positive. Must be those endorphins from exercising.

I am stronger.

I actually like to exercise and I'm disappointed when I can't make it to the gym.

It's fun fitting into cute clothes!

Dance Pictures 2012

 Jazz- "Fame" by David Bowie

Lyrical- "Pretty" by The Cranberries

We are missing the copy of Isabelle's clogging photo, but I will add it when I get it.
Isabelle took a break from jazz for a couple of years, but gave it a try again this year and really enjoyed it.

Ballet- "When You Wish Upon a Star"

Clogging- "Splish Splash, I Was Taking a Bath"

Tumbling- "ABC"

Emma did so well at the recital this year. She went on stage without any problems and was very serious about doing her dances.

Ballet- "Send in the Clowns"

Tumbling- "We Like to Party"

Jazz- "Heaven Hop"

Clogging- "You've Got a Friend in Me" Spanish version (Toy Story 3)

Zoe is great about smiling both when she is on stage and for her pictures.

Tumbling- "We Like to Party"

Ballet- "Somewhere Over the Rainbow"

Clogging- "Old Time Rock n' Roll"

Claire gets very excited about any upcoming events, including our recital. She has her own calendar that she uses to count down to every event.

These are the many faces of Zachary. He acts like he doesn't like getting his picture taken, but he really does, as you can see by his posing here. His favorite photos are the ones with his female dance partners, but I didn't post those here.

Ballroom- "Jewish Town"

Ballroom- "Mercy"

Clogging- "Precision"

Clogging- "Sing, Sing, Sing"

This year our recital theme was "Dancing Through the Decades." We started with the 1900s and went through the last century with music from every decade. It was a fun recital with lots of variety and it turned out fantastic.

Our baby is 5 years old!

Yesterday was Emma's birthday. She was so excited about her birthday. When we would ask her how old she was she would hold up 5 fingers. Then I would ask her how old that was and she would say, "April 28th."

Here are a few birthday photos.

She couldn't wait for the "Happy Birthday" song to be finished to blow out her candles.

She wanted to open her cards first. She loved this card from Justine with a princess memory game in it.

A $2 bill!

It's a rare library trip that one of the girls doesn't pick out a Curious George book so now she has 8 to keep.

All of her birthday goodies.

The most exciting birthday present- her new bike.

The Halfway Mark

Today I hit the halfway mark! 41.4 pounds gone and 41 pounds to go. Besides this being the halfway milestone, I have also reached the point where I weigh less than my husband. This is the first time in nearly 20 years I have weighed less than him and it feels pretty good.

I thought this would be a good time to do another photo update. To see the before photos check out the last post.
